National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. Joliet Chapter announces new chapter president

JOLIET – Debra L. Upshaw was installed as the new and seventh chapter president for the National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. | Joliet Chapter (NHBW) in a ceremony held on May 2.

Upshaw's educational background is in business management. She is currently furthering her education in the field at Robert Morris University where she expects to graduate with a second degree in business management in 2016.

She is a retired project manager for Metro West Network at the Illinois Department of Human Service-Mental Health Division. Upshaw lives in Plainfield, IL with her husband of 37 years, Tyronne Upshaw. She is also the mother of daughters Marquita and Tyronna.
