Lewis University students participate in nurse conference

ROMEOVILLE – Lewis University students received leadership advice and guidance at the annual Student Nurse Association of Illinois conference aimed to educate and encourage nursing students.

Approximately 100 nursing students throughout the state attended the March 7 conference held at the University of Illinois in Chicago School of Nursing. Lewis University student Danica Ujano of Bolingbrook attended the conference.

Students who attended the event included Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholars Ryan Beaten of Downers Grove, Maureen Dewan of Oak Forest, Bilaal Hassan of Riverside, Basirat Yusuf of Crest Hill and Marius Zymantas of Chicago, as well as Student Nurses Association Board Members Alyssa Gecosala and Danica Ujano both of Bolingbrook.

The students were accompanied by the College of Nursing and Health Professions faculty member, Jane Trainor assistant professor and coordinator of the BAC/BSN accelerated track.
