At 3:31 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 11400 block of 75th Street, a caller reported a suspicious person who came to their door and offered to do gardening work. According to police reports, a man wearing a blue jacket knocked on the resident's door, offered gardening services and then left when the resident declined. The man then left in a silver or tan BMW with a temporary license plate.
A short time later, at 3:48 p.m. in the 11500 block of Burr Oak Lane, a resident reported an attempted burglary to police. The resident told police that man wearing a dark blue or black jacket attempted to pry off a patio door window of a home.
