GLEN ELLYN – The Glen Ellyn Historical Society will host a gathering for descendants of the village's founding families during the Fourth of July holiday, according to a society news release.
Family members are invited to attend a reception July 3 at the Glen Ellyn History Center, participate in the Fourth of July parade and meet village residents at Lake Ellyn Park, and enjoy brunch at the center and a tour of Stacy's Tavern Museum on July 5.
An official event photo will be taken the last day of the festivities.
Families are encouraged to bring pictures, group sheets, genealogy charts, stories and artifacts.
