Robbery attempted at Lake in the Hills Walgreens

LAKE IN THE HILLS – Police are trying to identify a man suspected of trying to rob a Walgreens pharmacy Friday.

A man walked up to the pharmacy counter at Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, and passed a note to the employee, demanding a list of perscription medications, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

No weapon was seen and implied, and no drugs were given to the man who then fled on foot, the release said.

The man is described as white, about 20 years old and about 5'10" with a thin build. He had a black scarf or mask covering part of his face and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and brown boots. His forehead was pitted and covered in acne.
