COAL CITY — Small Town Theatrics and the On Broadway Dancers have teamed up to put on a holiday musical production, “When Christmas Comes to Town.”
The story centers on a little girl’s search for Christmas and will include music and dancing from some holiday favorites. There are only two shows — Saturday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Coal City High School auditorium.
Tickets are $10. Proceeds will benefit both organizations which are not-for-profit 501c-3. A portion of proceeds and monetary donations will also benefit local area families in need.
The On Broadway Dancers have a long history of success with young people in performing arts. They have had multiple overseas tours and Chicago Bulls appearances. Most recently, they performed for Halloween Magic 2 and helped raise nearly $45,000 for Salute, Inc., which gives financial assistance to returning soldiers, including Coal City’s Joe Singer.
Small Town Theatrics is entering its fourth season. Its successful summer productions have included “13”, “Putnam County Spelling Bee” and last year’s highly-received “Legally Blonde.”
