ROCK FALLS – Susan L. Sickler, 55, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

She was born Oct. 19, 1956, in Miami, a daughter of Donald Ray and Maxine (Starkey) Mankamyer. She married Cyrus J. Sickler Sr. on Aug. 14, 1979, in Lake Worth, Fla.

Survivors include her former husband, Cyrus of Rock Falls; daughters, Amy White of California and Crystal Sickler of Rock Falls; a son, Cyrus Sickler Jr. of California; sisters, Donna Loffert and Sandy Mendenhal, both of Florida, and Diane Mankamyer of Michigan; brothers, David Mankamyer of Nebraska and Chuck Mankamyer of Texas; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services have been held. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the United States Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th St. NW, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180.
