Face Time with Nancy Hayhurst

Nancy Hayhurst, of Geneva, was at the Fine Arts Fair in Geneva when Kane County Chronicle reporter Brenda Schory asked her 10 questions.


Where did you grow up?
Burbank.

Immediate family: Husband and between the two of us, we have six grown children.

Pets:
A golden-doodle named Tessa and a cat named Earnie, both from a shelter.

Summer plans? Went to Galena. Walks with our dog and taking weekends away.

Favorite charity? Misericordia in Chicago, and I send care packages to the troops, myself and also through American Gold Star Mothers.

Last best book you read? "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand.

Hobbies? I collecting and selling vintage jewelry.

Favorite food? Pasta.

Favorite local restaurant? Gratto Italian Tapas Bar in Geneva.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I love writing and when I retire in two years, I will be published. I am a published poet, but I will be published in other formats.
