Phillip Harold Wilkinson and Julie Anne Surratt, both of Rock Island, were married on May 9, 2009 at First Christian Church in South Jacksonville, Ill.

The bride's uncle, Pastor Francis Ater, performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Barb Surratt of Arenzville. The groom is the son of John and Jamie Wilkinson, and the grandson of Gloria Wilkinson, all of Morris.

Danielle Fanshier of St. Louis was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Traub of Los Angeles, Calif., Stephanie Seals of Moline, and Audrey Zeilman of Champaign. Ashley Surratt, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Matt Wilkinson of Morris was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Keith Jorstad of Morris, Brian Seals of Moline, and Andy Surratt of Jacksonville, brother of the bride. Hayden Surratt, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Ushers were Trent Olson and Kevin Brown of Morris.

The groom's cousin, Christyn Soland of Houston, Tex., read a passage from the Book of Genesis. The day of coordinator was Manda Surratt, sister-in-law of the bride. Emily Kinsell and Erin Winkelman attended the guest book and programs. Marian Privia was the organist. The groom's cousins, Lexi Wilkinson and Caitlin Farmer, gave out bubbles after the ceremony.

A reception followed in the South Ballroom at Hamilton's in Jacksonville. Hostesses were Irma Holmes and Cathy Hansell.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Triopia High School and a 2005 graduate of Illinois College where she double majored in Spanish and communications. She also received a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign in 2007. She is the director of Development and Marketing for Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities.

The groom is a graduate of Morris Community High School and a 2005 graduate of Illinois College where he double majored in biology and chemistry. He received a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Ia. in February 2009. He recently began practicing at Willareth & Wilkinson Chiropractic in Morris.

Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in San Antonio, Texas.
