Troy Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire in the 1100 block of Wheatland Drive in Shorewood Thursday night.

Crews were battling the fire located in the attic, the fire district reported.

Motorists were asked to avoid River Road and Wheatland Drive to allow emergency personnel to work at the scene.

Troy Fire Protection District activated mutual aid box alarm assistance, including fire investigators to the scene.
