Woman serving a 55-year prison term in connection with the stabbing deaths of an Algonquin couple denied in attempt to withdraw plea and have sentence vacated.

A McHenry County judge Thursday granted up to $3,000 of county funds to pay for a second evaluation to determine the mental state of a woman accused of stabbing to death an elderly couple in their Algonquin home in 2020.

Arin Fox, 40, of Algonquin, charged in double homicide found fit for trial despite the woman not taking one of her antipsychotic drugs and telling the McHenry County judge “I don’t think I’m fit to stand trial.”
