DIXON – The Dixon School Board approved five new hires, one resignation and one retirement during Wednesday night’s school board meeting.

The approved personnel items include:

New hires

Baida Alfarraj, paraprofessional at Washington School, effective Dec. 19

Heriberto Brito, part-time custodian at Dixon High School, effective Dec. 19

Brittany Barlow, special education teacher at Thomas J. Dempsey School, effective Jan. 6

Katelyn Wood, fourth grade teacher at Madison School, effective Jan. 6

Teri Pickett, special education teacher at Thomas J. Dempsey School, effective Aug. 11, 2025 (revised from the Nov. 20 board meeting.)

Resignation

Alexa Reeder, Title I teacher at Madison School, effective Dec. 20

Retirement

Suzanne Weaver, third grade accelerated teacher at Jefferson School, effective at the end of the 2024-2025 school year (revised from the Nov. 20 board meeting)
