Amboy bank president named group director for trade association

SPRINGFIELD – Coleen Henkel, president of The First National Bank in Amboy, was appointed group director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois during its annual convention.

She serves on the CBAI board and committees on strategic planning and membership.

Henkel was appointed president at First National in January. She has been a senior loan officer, executive vice president and cashier during her career. She also is a graduate of the CBAI Midwest School for Community Bankers, its Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin and the Ag Lenders School.

Henkel is a board member for KSB Hospital, Northern Illinois Treatment Center, Lee County Soil and Water Conservation district and OLPH.

Henkel resides in West Brooklyn with her husband. They have three adult children and two grandsons.

CBAI is a professional trade association representing 300 commercial banks and thrifts in Illinois. CBAI is based in Springfield.
