DIXON – The former Snyder’s pharmacy at 301 N. Galena Ave. in Dixon now is a convenience store.

301 North sells alcohol, giftware, flowers, cakes, holiday decor, candles from Black Cat Candle Co. and other goods. Store manager Amanda Askam said the building is still owned by Tom Felker, who sold the pharmacy to Walgreens about three months ago.

“We know a lot of our former customers were upset to see the pharmacy go,” Askam said. “Many in the community preferred our smaller pharmacy to places like Walgreens or Walmart but due to circumstances outside of our control it had to happen.”

The store is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For information, call 815-284-8001.
