MAGNOLIA - The Magnolia American Legion Auxiliary Post 0254 along with the McNabb ALA post has selected two young ladies to attend Illini Girls State.
They are Lillian Sandberg of McNabb, the daughter of Ryan and Brandi Sandberg, and Jadin Trone of McNabb, the daughter of Daniel and Kristine Trone.
Both girls attend Putnam County High School.
Do to COVID, the girls will conduct their classes online via zoom June 21-25 along with the three young ladies that was selected last year - Emma Edens, Chloe Linton and Gabby Smith.
The ALA Women’s Post 0254 has their regular scheduled monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at LJ’s in Magnolia. Anyone interested in joining the auxiliary may come to a meeting or speak to any one of the new officers - President Peggy Smith, 1st Vice President Jane Rinaldo, 2nd Vice President Toni Reaska, Secretary Darlene Siegman, Treasurer Jane Egli, Chaplain Laurie Smith, Historian Judy Wyatt or Sergeant at Arms Linda Holz.
