Mazon Sesquicentennial button winners announced

The Mazon Sesquicentennial Celebration has selected the winning designs for the sesquicentennial buttons.

Mazon-Verona-Kinsman students Clayton Steiner, Austin Brockman, Paisley Field, Avery Polhemus, Sawyer Schaefer, Lina Bandy and Evelyn Benton designed the winning designs.

Buttons will be available within the coming months, and during the celebration Aug. 2-9. A drawing for the three winning button numbers will take place at the Saturday Band and Beer Tent Night event. They will also be posted online on social media and in the Morris Herald-News.

The prizes will be $100 for first prize, $50 for second prize, and $25 for third prize.

Proceeds from the sale of the buttons will support the Centennial Celebration and improvements to the Mazon Park.
