Joliet man accused of threatening Kendall County judge

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Joliet man Wednesday after he allegedly threatened a judge in December.

Ryan Deane, 41, is in custody at the Kendall County Jail.

On Dec. 15, Kendall County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a threat made toward a judge, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies began gathering information, and the case was subsequently assigned to detectives for further investigation, according to the release.

Following a review of the investigation by the State’s Attorney’s Office, an arrest warrant was issued for one felony count of threatening a public official.

Deane was taken into custody without incident Wednesday by members of the sheriff’s office and the fugitive task force.

The Kendall County sheriff’s office is reminding residents to call CrimeStoppers at 630-553-5999 to report any information regarding a fugitive‘s whereabouts.

Callers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if the information leads to the apprehension of a fugitive, according to the sheriff’s office.
