The 27-year-old driver of a car sustained life-threatening injuries after hitting a tree stump at approximately 5:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Fox River Drive and Griswold Springs Road in Little Rock Township.

The 27-year-old driver sustained life-threatening injuries after crashing his car into a tree stump at approximately 5:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Fox River Drive and Griswold Springs Road in Little Rock Township.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling south Fox River Drive when it left the road and struck a tree stump, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by the Little Rock-Fox Fire Protection District to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, the release said.

The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing at this time. The Plano Police Department and the Little Rock-Fox Fire Protection District provided assistance during the incident.
