Three state senators to host town hall in Crystal Lake

Three state senators will host a town hall later this month at Crystal Lake City Hall to mark the end of the spring legislative session and provide constituents with an update on legislation and the budget.

State Sen. Dan McConchie, R-Hawthorn Woods, also serves as the Senate minority leader, will be joined by state Sens. Don DeWitte, R-St. Charles, and Craig Wilcox, R-McHenry at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Crystal Lake City Hall, 100 W. Woodstock St.

Residents are welcome to come meet with the senators, provide input on issues that matter to them, and ask any questions they may have about state government, McConchie said in an email.

McConchie represents the 26th Senate District, which includes parts or all of Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Cary, Fox River Grove, Island Lake, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Libertyville, Kildeer, Long Grove, Barrington Hills and South Barrington.

DeWitte represents the 33rd Senate District, which stretches from Lakewood and Lake in the Hills south through Hampshire, Gilberts, Pingree Grove and West Dundee down around Elgin through the west side of St. Charles to the northern end of Batavia. Wilcox represents the 32nd Senate District, which includes the western and northern halves of McHenry County as well as part of western Lake County.
