St. Charles North 9, Goodpasture (Tenn.) 6 (6 innings): The North Stars had three runs in the top of the sixth inning, which proved to be enough to pull out the win. Julian Harmon led the team with three hits and two RBIs, with Mason Netcel also having three hits in the contest.

St. Charles North 10, Burlington (Wisc.) 1 (5 innings): Matt Ritchie, Liam Straub and Charlie Major each recorded two hits and drove in a run to help the North Stars (4-1) secure the double-header sweep on the day. Ben Auer got the win on the mound, allowing just three hits and one run over four innings of work.

Geneva 16, Life Prep (Kan.) 2 (5 innings): Ryan Kastor drove in four runs off a single and two sacrifice flies to help the Vikings (8-1) end their spring trip undefeated. Alex Abraham and Nelson Wendell each added two hits, and nine different players recorded RBIs for the Vikings.

St. Charles East 12, Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet (Tenn.) 5: James Feigleson had two hits, including a home run and added three RBIs to lead the Saints (6-2). Kyle LaRose added two hits, and six other players recorded RBIs in the win.

Romeoville 6, Burlington Central 4: Zach Hartwig recorded two hits while Thomas Koertgen and Matthew Simek each had an RBI in the loss for the Rockets (2-3-1).

Arnold (Fla.) 7, Kaneland 3: Aidan Whildin recorded the lone RBI on a single and Brady Alstott added the only other hit for the Knights (1-4-1).

Butler (Ohio) 15, Batavia 3 (6 innings): Cal Miller hit a solo home run and drove in two runs, but the Bulldogs (4-4-1) couldn’t recover from two innings of 7+ runs. Michael Vander Luitgaren added an RBI and Ben Johnson had two hits.

Softball

Kaneland 10, Johnson Central (Ken.) 1: In Myrtle Beach, Lillyanna Crawford recorded three hits added an RBI, while Brynn Woods allowed just four hits and one unearned run while striking out 12 for the Knights (4-2).

Boys volleyball

St. Charles East defeats Huntley 25-12, 27-25: The Saints moved to 5-2 on the season after taking down the Red Raiders in straight sets
