Princeton girls advance to semifinals at Ottawa: Friday BCR roundup

Princeton 63, Plainfield Central 20: The Tigresses outscored the Wildcats 35-6 in the second half to breeze into semifinals of the Ottawa Holiday Tournament.

Keighley Davis poured in 25 points and Camryn Driscoll added 17 points for Princeton (8-2), who will meet Ottawa in Saturday’s semifinals at noon. The winner will advance to the finals at 7:30 p.m. against the winner between Morris and Metamora.

The Princeton JV fell to L-P 40-24 and will play Ottawa for third place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Fulton 53, Bureau Valley 46: The Storm led 30-15 at the half only to have the Steamers charge back with a 38-16 second-half surge to post the nonconference win.

For BV, Libby Endress had 15 points, Kadyn Haage 11 and Emma Mussche nine.

Boys basketball

Fulton 49, Bureau Valley 34: The Storm dropped a nonconference game at Fulton.
