The St. Bede softball team built a big lead, saw Marquette rally to go ahead but scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out a 10-9 victory Thursday in Peru.

The Bureau Valley softball team played Ridgewood, the defending Class 1A State champion, to a 1-0 loss on Monday. Three days later, it was a whole different story when the same two teams met Thursday at Manlius. The Storm had just two hits with eight errors, falling 11-1.

Bureau Valley's Logan Philhower had two hits and two RBIs while striking out nine batters in five innings to pick up an 8-0 win over Galva in a Lincoln Trail Conference crossover at Manlius. Blake Foster also had two hits and two RBIs
