Services for Phyllis Arlene Friant, 67, of Friendsville, Tenn., formerly of Crescent City, were held Jan. 31 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Rev. Darrell Rasnake officiated. Ms. Friant died Jan. 27, 2006. Burial was in Flesher Cemetery, Crescent City. Pallbearers were Nathan and Jacob Bogard, Michael, Peyton, Joshua and James Friant Jr. and Scott Dirks. Honorary pallbearers were Shane and Nicholas Friant, Eric Wilborn, Travis and Jason Dirks and Brad Laura.
Services for Gary Wayne Miller, 60, of Grant Park, were held Feb. 1 at the College Church of the Nazarene, Bourbonnais. Jeff Crosno and Rev. Debora Bell officiated. Mr. Miller died Jan. 28, 2006. Burial was in Momence Cemetery. Pallbearers were Anthony Depoister, Jeffrey Grimes, Mark and Steve Hagler, Tyler Barton and Josh Finchum.
Services for Albert J. O'Neill, 91, of Sherburnville, were held Jan. 28 at Hub Memorial Chapel, Grant Park. Pastor Byron C. Miller officiated. Mr. O'Neill died Jan. 25, 2006. Burial was in Sherburnville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ken and Mike Jones, Jack Reynolds, Larry Voigt, Jeff Lorenz and Jobey Book. Honorary pallbearer was Marion Catt.
A funeral Mass for Pearl E. Poskin, 83, of Ashkum, was celebrated Jan. 31 at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Ashkum. Rev. James Holup officiated. Mrs. Poskin died Jan. 28, 2006. Burial was in Ashkum Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Heideman, Richard Poskin, Dale Hanson, Jerry Nakaerts, Ed Tholen and Bill Boudreau.
