A fire destroyed a DePue landmark home Saturday as its residents were able to escape without injuries.
A former residential care facility at 1100 Rose Hill Road known as the Rose Manor was rendered a total loss by the flames.
DePue and Spring Valley firefighters arrived at about 4 p.m. to fight the fire. Departments from Ladd, Peru, Seatonville, Bureau, Granville, Hennepin, Tiskilwa, Cherry, Malden and Princeton also responded to the fire, according to the DePue fire department.
There were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the residents.
The fire is under investigation.
