Naperville man threatened to harm man at ATM drive-thru: records

A man has been charged with approaching a man at an ATM drive-thru in Naperville and telling him he would put him “into the ground while using vulgar language and having his hand on a handgun," court records show.

On Aug. 7, Todd Dulaney, 36, of the 3500 block of Scottsdale Circle in Naperville was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with the incident that occurred on Jan. 25, according to court records.

The criminal complaint filed against Dulaney alleged that he left his vehicle and approached another vehicle in the ATM drive-thru lane of Bank of America at 2943 95th St.

Dulaney “made a comment” about putting the man “into the ground while using vulgar language and while having his hand on a handgun,” the criminal complaint said.

On Aug. 7, Judge Dave Carlson signed a warrant for the arrest of Dulaney on a charge of disorderly conduct, court records show. The warrant carried a $3,000 bond, court records show. The warrant said Dulaney is self-employed.

The bank incident was investigated by the Naperville Police Department.

Naperville Deputy Police Chief Jason Arres said Dulaney turned himself in on the warrant.

Arres said the alleged victim in the case did not work for Bank of America and the incident occurred in the ATM line at the bank.

The charge of disorderly conduct in the criminal complaint against Dulaney is a class C misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,500.
