Illinois Eye Associates in Manhattan and Peotone welcomes new employees

Illinois Eye Associates is proud to announce the recent hirings of an ophthalmic technician and executive director.

Jessie Pope will work primarily out of the Peotone office in the roll of ophthalmic technician. She will be responsible for patient testing and assisting in patient care. But Pope will also work with patients in the Manhattan office a few days a week.

After earning her Bachelor of Science from University of Alabama in Birmingham, Pope worked as a preschool teacher before finding her call in optometry.

She began as a front office representative and in less than a year was promoted to optometric technician where she provided insertion and removal training to first time contact lens wearers as well as administered specialized tests.

Ramie Wiltgen will serve the practice as executive director. She will assist in the day to day business operations and will work from both the Manhattan and Peotone locations.

She holds an Associates of Arts from Joliet Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts from Governors State University. She studied general business and human resources management.

Wiltgen previously spent 10 years in the advertising industry and eight years as an executive assistant and head bookkeeper in local school districts.

Illinois Eye Associates is a full service eye and vision care provider that sees patients with both eye emergencies as well as scheduled appointments.
