WRESTLING
Oswego/Oswego East: The Panthers (17-6, 6-1) beat the Wolves 62-15 in a dual meet on Jan. 10.
Oswego winners by pin included Austin Swanson (152), Cole Pradel (160), Thomas Dennehy (170), Jake Duncan (182) and David Miller (195). Winning major decisions for Oswego were Zach Sato (132) and Samuel Saravia (138). Oswego East winners by pin included David Williams (106) and Carter Skalicky (120), with Caleb Scurr winning a decision at 113.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Oswego East: Chyna Scott had 14 points, 10 rebounds and two steals and Chelsea McCullum added seven points for the Wolves (10-10) in a 35-20 win over Metea Valley on Tuesday. Christine Corpuz had 20 points and five steals and McCullum added 14 points in a 54-51 loss to West Aurora on Saturday. McCullum had 25 points and four steals in a 61-33 win over Romeoville on Friday. Carly Engelhardt chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds, Scott had nine rebounds and five assists and Corpuz five points and five assists.
Oswego: The Panthers (14-4) beat Plainfield North 45-30 on Friday.
GIRLS BOWLING
Oswego: Sophomore Savanna Jourdan bowled a 522 series followed by seniors Shannon Torrez (513) and Kaitlin Freundt (475), leading the Panthers to a 2,409-2,407 win over Oswego East on Tuesday. At the JV level, the Panthers won two games and series by a final of 2,005 to 1,842.
Three Panthers shot over 400 on the night including sophomores Mac Donahue (423) and Lily Ratledge (406) along with freshman Evelyn James (406). Another freshman, Sydney Kuntzman (393), was just shy of the 400 mark.
BOYS BOWLING
Oswego/Oswego East: Philip Schmidt bowled a 1,361 series to win the regional title at the Bolingbrook Regional on Saturday. Also advancing to sectionals were Oswego East’s Bennett Christiansen (1,275) and Isaak Izzi (1,245) and Oswego’s Kevin Cherven (1,207).
