OrthoIllinois, a bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, expanded services with the grand opening of its new Algonquin clinic Thursday.
The new site is at 650 S. Randall Road between Bunker Hill and Harnish drives. The state-of-the-art clinic improves access to bone and joint specialists with expertise in sports medicine (shoulder, hip and knee injuries); hands, wrists and elbows; joint replacement; spine care (surgical and nonsurgical options); pediatric orthopedic care; orthopedic trauma; and podiatry.
“Our vision was to build a new clinic large enough to accommodate the additional specialists required to meet the community’s needs. Today, that vision becomes a reality,” OrthoIllinois President Dr. Brian Bear said.
OrthoIllinois is introducing a walk-in Injury Express clinic, which offers convenient urgent care with expanded hours six days a week. The model has been successful in addressing immediate injury treatment needs for patients since it was introduced in 2013 in Rockford.
The 30,000-plus-square-foot clinic is equipped with 33 exams rooms, MRI, X-ray, physical and occupational/hand therapy to deliver consistent care that meets the needs of patients at one location.
Construction on the clinic started in September 2017.
Call 815-398-9491 to schedule an appointment. The Algonquin Clinic will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; Injury Express will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
