BOYS TENNIS
Oswego East: The Wolves won the Southwest Prairie Conference championship for the second consecutive year.
Earning championships were Hamza Shaikh at No. 3 singles, Alex Hwang/Ashwin Ramesh at No. 1 doubles, Ryan Chen/Ryan MacNicol at No. 2 doubles and Abhishek Malhotra/Jayden Chan at No. 3 doubles. Tej Ekkurthi was second at No. 1 singles, Ishnu Boyapolly/Aaron Fanjoy were second at No. 4 doubles and Jaimin Vaidya was third at No. 2 singles.
Oswego East finished with 83 team points. Oswego was second with 64, Minooka third.
BASEBALL
Oswego: Dylan White and JD Miller both went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Oswego's 10-2 loss to Plainfield South on May 14. Garry Maynard went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Oswego's 6-5 win over Plainfield South on May 10.
Oswego East: The Wolves lost to Minooka 5-4 on May 10. Liam Geoffroy was 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored for Oswego East (12-12, 6-9 Southwest Prairie).
The Wolves lost to Plainfield Central 4-1 in eight innings on May 9. Collin Witzke took a tough no-decision, striking out 13 over six innings. Witzke also went 2-for-4 with a homer.
SOFTBALL
Oswego East: The Wolves (19-4) beat Lake Park 9-5 on May 11. Oswego East beat Joliet Central 7-0 on May 9, as Grace Klingbeil tossed a complete-game no-hitter with four strikeouts.
