BATAVIA – Adding new voices, the Swedish American Children's Choir is accepting additional singers for its spring and summer season. Children ages 4 to 17 are welcome to join the largest choir of its kind in the Midwest.

Now in its 19th season, the ensemble has performed at numerous local venues and festivals as well as completed eight performance tours outside Illinois. Previous singing experience in not required nor is Scandinavian heritage.

Singers learn about Scandinavian traditions through the arts and perform songs in English and Swedish as well as Scandinavian folk dances.
