RENTON, Wash. – Jonathan Wade Buntjer, 58, of Renton, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, in Auburn, Washington, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was an electrician for 13 years at Holmes Electric.
Jon was born June 25, 1957, in Sterling, the son of John W. and Judith K. (Sanders) Buntjer. He married Martha Jean "Jeannie" Simmons on Jan. 3, 1977, in Peoria.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Andrea Buntjer of Tukwila, Washington, and Jessica (Josh) Addison of Issaquah, Washington; his father, John W. (Shirley) Buntjer of Lyndon; a sister, Daria (Asher) Almas of Wylie, Texas; his half brothers, Bradley (Gretchen) Buntjer of Sterling and David Buntjer and Shawn Buntjer, both of Dixon; his half sisters, Monica (Leesman) Joubert of Dallas, Jennifer Leesman of Plano, Texas, and Tanya Hart of Buckeye, Arizona; and two stepbrothers, Alan (Evelyn) Vaillencourt of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Evan (Lyn) Vaillencourt of Laguna, Philippines.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith K. Sanders Buntjer Leesman Hart.
A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at J. W. Kingdom Hall, 1155 Duvall Ave. N.E., Renton, Washington, 98059. Cremation rites have been accorded. Curnow Funeral Home in Bellevue, Washington, is handling arrangements.
