Joliet Central High School students create Steelman cookie cutter with 3D printer

JOLIET – Joliet Central High School Technical/Computer-Aided Drafting and Culinary Art students combined their talents to create the first ever Steelman cookie cutter.

JCHS junior, Alejandro Gonzales, designed and modeled the cookie cutter using three dimensional software. He then sent his design to the state-of-the-art 3D printer.

Culinary Art student and JCHS senior and pastry chef Esias Grant used the cookie cutter to make sweet Steelman cookies. The project was put together by Culinary Arts Instructor Rochelle Bjelland and Tech. CAD Instructor Dale West.
