Heroin possession

Nicole A. Martinez, 27, and Jose M. Torres-Rios, 21, both of the 100 block of East Division Street, Villa Park, were charged with two counts each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 5:55 p.m. March 27 at St. Charles Road and West Avenue after they were found in possession of open alcohol, heroin, cocaine, a syringe, a spoon containing caked heroin and eight plastic bags containing heroin residue.

Marijuana possession

• Darrold A. Jefferson, 24, of the 1300 block of South Fourth Avenue, Maywood, was cited for possession of marijuana and expired registration at 12:29 a.m. March 27 at North Avenue and Route 83.

• Jairo H. Jiminez, 19, of the 1000 block of South York Road, Bensenville, and Nicole M. Sorce, 18, of the 15W300 block of Concord Street, Elmhurst, were charged with two counts each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana at 6:33 p.m. March 28 at Interstate 290 and St. Charles Road. Jiminez had 0.05 grams of suspected cocaine and Sorce had Hydrocodone pills in her purse. Jiminez was also charged with speeding, obstructed view and not having a driver’s license. Sorce was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

• A 17-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana at 7:59 p.m. March 28 in the 400 block of Spring Road.

• Adonis Plump, 21, of the 0S500 block of Old York Road, was cited for possession of marijuana at 1:10 a.m. March 30 at Old York Road and Lexington Street.

• A 16-year-old was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:42 p.m. March 30 at Golden Meadows Park. A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were also cited for possession of tobacco by a minor.

• John Kutis, 29, of the 700 block of Monterey Avenue, Villa Park, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding at 8:24 a.m. March 31 at York Street and Industrial Drive.

DUI

• Vincent Manna, 28, of the 300 block of North Broadview Avenue, Lombard, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, not having insurance, leaving the scene of a crash, unsafe tire and improper lane use at 10:50 p.m. March 27 in the 400 block of York Street after hitting a fence. Police also found 56 packets of possible synthetic marijuana and sent them for testing.

• Thomas Tran, 22, of the zero to 100 block of Cambridge Lane, Glendale Heights, was charged with two counts of DUI of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane use at 5:14 a.m. March 28 at Garden and Babcock avenues.

• Kevin Cummins, 47, of the 3N400 block of Willow Road, was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident at 12:01 a.m. March 29 in the 600 block of West North Avenue.

• Emmanuel Pulido, 24, of the 200 block of North Pine Lane, Bensenville, was charged with two counts of DUI and improper lane use at 2:07 a.m. March 29 at Cottage Hill and Park avenues.

• Eduardo Rodriguez, 43, of the 5800 block of West Ohio Street, Chicago, was charged with two counts of DUI of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use at 2:13 a.m. March 29 at North Avenue and Willow Road.

Battery

Stephen Toedt, 61, of the 200 block of East Schiller Street, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at 1:48 a.m. March 30 at his home.

Fraudulent prescription

Betty Jo Mitchell, 27, of the 500 block of West Wilson Avenue, Muncie, Ind., was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance at 8:05 p.m. March 27 in the 100 block of West North Avenue after filling two fraudulent prescriptions. She was later charged with attempted acquisition of a controlled substance for trying to fill the prescriptions first at another pharmacy.

Drug paraphernalia
possession

• Jeremy A. Lowe, 21, of the 9700 block of McLean Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and not having a front registration plate at 10:05 p.m. March 26 at Clinton and North avenues.

• Marcus Butler, 40, of the 1S300 block of Vista Avenue, Lombard, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:53 a.m. in the 100 block of West Brush Hill Road and turned over to Bellwood police to be charged with domestic battery.

Theft, burglary reported

Coprist D. Carroll, 33, of the 1200 block of East Washington Street, Des Plaines, and Joe E. Donalson, 42, of the 200 block of North Wolf Road, Hillside, were charged with retail theft at 3:34 p.m. March 26 in the 900 block of South York Road after stealing $237.02 worth of groceries. Carroll also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance after police found heroin residue on straws in his possession.

• A cellphone worth between $500 and $700 was reported stolen between 10 and 10:30 a.m. March 26 in the 300 block of West St. Charles Road.

• A catalytic converter was stolen from a parked car between 4 p.m. March 26 and 3:50 a.m. March 27 in the 300 block of Kimbell Avenue.

• A woman stole four packs of cigarettes at 3:04 p.m. March 30 in the 900 block of South York Street.

• Someone stole a black leather zipper wallet containing an Illinois driver’s license and less than $20 from inside a parked car between 1 and 5 p.m. March 31 in the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue.

• A black Dell 16-inch laptop computer was stolen between 3 and 7 p.m. March 31 in the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue after it was left unattended on a table.

Underage drinking

• Mario Gracia, 18, of the 100 block of North 11th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor at 11:56 p.m. March 29 in the 200 block of York Road.

• Matthew Divine, 19, of the 400 block of East Church Street, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication at 4:11 a.m. March 30 in the 500 block of Holly Avenue.

Disorderly conduct

Vladaimir Gebert, 23, of the 4000 block of West Irving Park Road, Chicago, was charged with disorderly conduct at 9:01 p.m. March 26 in the 100 block of Fellows Court.

Property damage

• Someone scratched a car causing an estimated $500 worth of damage and left a threatening note between 5 and 10 p.m. March 24 in the 600 block of North York Road.

• Black permanent marker was reported on two stop signs at 9:07 a.m. March 26. One sign was at Indiana Street and Fullerton Avenue and another at Van Auken Street and Fullerton Avenue.

• Black permanent marker was reported on a stop sign at 7:21 a.m. March 27 at Van Buren Street and Euclid Avenue.

• Black permanent marker was reported on a stop sign at 8:30 a.m. March 27 at Vallette Street and Fairfield Avenue.

• Blue spray paint was reported on a street light at 7:50 a.m. March 27 in the 100 block of East Jackson Street.

• Someone broke a foam sign at the entrance of Pioneer Park in half between 2:30 p.m. March 29 and 7 a.m. March 30.

• A semitrailer reportedly hit a street light pole with street lights attached causing it to fall and expose wire at 9:08 a.m. March 31 at Grantley and Larch avenues.

• Black spray paint was reported on a “No Trucks” sign at 12:40 p.m. March 31 in the 900 block of North York Road.

Construction hours
violation

Richard E. Mikulecky, 32, of the 1200 block of Lombard Avenue, Berwyn, was cited for violating construction hours at 6:06 a.m. March 26 in the 300 block of South Kenilworth Avenue.

Property lost

• An Illinois dealer license plate went missing between 8 p.m. March 25 and 11 a.m. March 26 in the 300 block of Grand Avenue.

• A cell phone was lost between 7 p.m. March 21 and 3:48 p.m. March 26 in the 200 block of South Prospect Avenue.
