STERLING – Fern Daniel Erisman, 84, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at his home. He delivered feed for Whiteside FS for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992.

Fern was born June 15, 1927, in Fairview, Mo., the son of Wilbert and Ova (Davidson) Erisman. He married Dorothy Harvey on June 4, 1950, in Carthage, Mo. She died Sept. 21, 2004. He was a member of Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Howard) Finnicum of Roanoke, Va., and Thomasita Avila of Sterling; one son, Dan Erisman of Rock Falls; one sister, Esther (Maurice) Moeckly of Polk City, Iowa; three brothers, Ethmer (Kathryn) Erisman of Warrenburg, Mo., and Dale Erisman and Paul (Linda) Erisman, both of Franklin Grove; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Rick Koch officiating. Burial will be at Dutchtown Cemetery in Milledgeville.

A memorial has been established.
