Brown, Cesarini to wed

Rebecca Marie Brown and Christopher Edward Cesarani, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., are engaged to be married on Oct. 4, 2009, at Assumption Catholic Church in Chicago, followed by a wedding reception at the InterContinental Hotel.

Brown is interim executive director of the New York City Employment and Training Coalition. She graduated from DeKalb High School in 1992, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996. She also received a master's degree in public policy from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. in 1998. She is a daughter of Bob Brown of DeKalb and Margit Scott of Frankfort.  Her father has held marketing positions with NIU, DeKalb Genetics Corp. and the University of Illinois, and ran for Illinois State Representative in 2004.  Her mother is a registered nurse, BSN at a private medical practice in Orland Park, and an active Hospice volunteer for the last 30 years.

Cesarani is a senior policy analyst with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. He graduated from Loyola High School, New York City in 1986, Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. in 1990 and New York Law School in 1997. He is the son of Salvatore and Nancy Cesarani of New York City. His father is an award-winning American fashion designer and a faculty member of Parsons The New School for Design in New York City. His mother and father jointly run SJC Concepts, LLC, a creative lifestyle enterprise.
