Co-mayors announced for annual Plano-Bologna-Sandwich Day benefit

The Plano-Bologna-Sandwich Day committee has announced that they have selected Marlene Kee to represent Plano and Kathy Martin to represent Sandwich as co-mayors of Bologna, Illinois, as part of National Bologna Day.

Kee and her husband, Jim, have been the longtime proprietors of K and K Design and Supplies, formerly known as The Office Works, while Martin is the proprietor of Country Financial Services in Sandwich.

The committee noted that both Kee and Martin are prominent businesswomen and dedicate much of their time and effort to their respective business communities as well as devoting countless hours to other charities, causes or events in and around the Plano and Sandwich communities.

The PBS Day committee said in a statement they are proud to have these two women represent its annual benefit event from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, in the lot now known as Bologna, Illinois, between Route 34 and Burroughs Avenue off Tara Street, between Plano and Sandwich.
