Livestream concert in St. Charles by Joe Marcinek at Pollyanna Brewing to benefit Cal’s Angels

What happens when you bring together music, beer and a good cause? From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, you can join the fight against pediatric cancer by tuning in to a livestream fundraising concert featuring the Joe Marcinek Band at Pollyanna Brewing in St. Charles.

“In This Together: Fighting Pediatric Cancer” not only supports Cal’s Angels, a pediatric cancer nonprofit in St. Charles, but also supports musicians during a time when they need gigs.

“The Joe Marcinek Band is an ever-evolving mixture of original compositions and incredible musicians, with each show featuring a different lineup and interpretation,” a news release stated.

During the livestream, a text-to-donate number will be scrolling at the bottom of the screen to give to Cal’s Angels. Viewers can pre-order Pollyanna Brewing’s Award-Winning Cal’s Angels Bundle ($20) at all locations (St. Charles, Lemont and Roselle) for a fun celebration at home, with a portion of each bundle sold going back to Cal’s Angels, organizers said.

• Lite Thinking (Back-to-Back GABF Medalist)

• Orenda V2 or Orenda V3 (Multiple FOBAB Medalists)

• Also including Lexical Gap Series and Allure Series Variants

• Pollyanna Logo’d Glass and Swag

• Cal’s Angels Swag

While COVID-19 has taken a significant toll, it remains as important as ever to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer, which receives only 4% of total cancer research funding, the release stated.
