Reception to launch exhibitions at Water Street Studios in Batavia

The “Artist Collective Show” will launch with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. July 9 for Second Friday at the Studio at Water Street Studios in Batavia.

The show features the work of more than 20 Chicago area artists, a news release stated. Various styles and mediums will be on display, from oil painting to sculpture. Their work will be exhibited in the Dempsey Family Gallery and the KC Magazine Gallery. The show runs until Aug. 8.

Upstairs in the Chicago Capital Gallery will be “Perceptions” by Danielle Piloto, a self-taught oil painter. Her work features subjects seen in various natural and surreal environments. Many are mysterious versus literal, adding an air of intrigue to the work, while leaving interpretation open to the viewer.

Masks are required for unvaccinated visitors. A cash bar will be available.
