The lower (Zone A) and upper river (Zone B) as well as the lakes (Zone C) of the Fox Waterway now are open for full boating, according to an update from the Fox Waterway Agency posted to Facebook on Thursday morning.
All zones of the Fox River are open effective immediately, but a debris advisory remains in effect for the entire system, according to the post.
This update comes after the Illinois Department of Natural Resources lifted restrictions marking the lower river (Zone A) as a no-wake zone.
These restrictions were lifted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Fox Waterway Agency.
