Jim and Sandy Dunseth, who reside just north of Ladd, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 2, with a 4 p.m. Mass in Holy Trinity Church, Cherry, where they renewed their vows. A small catered reception after Mass was held at the Ladd American Legion Hall in Ladd for immediate family, attendants and close friends.
The former Sandy Koster and Jim Dunseth were married on May 1, 1965, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Peru. They were attended by Mrs. Robert (Vicci Potthoff), now deceased, friend of the bride, as maid of honor; Mrs. Dennis (Shirley Ann Waligora) Sharpe, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Jim (Shirley Koster) Fusinetti, sister of the bride, as bridesmaids; Alan Lesyinski, cousin of bride, as best man; Tom Maloy, friend of the groom, and Robert Cromwell, brother-in-law of the groom, as groomsmen. Ushers were Jerry Renkosik, cousin of the bride, now deceased, and Neal Drummer, friend of the groom.
They are the parents of three children, Brian (Jennifer) Dunseth of rural Spring Valley, Bruce (Susan) Dunseth of Chandler, Ariz., and Brenda Dunseth Rossmann of Punta Gorda, Fla. They have four grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Mariah and Justiss Dunseth.
Jim and Sandy have resided outside of Ladd all of their married life. Jim is now retired from Ag View FS, Princeton, formerly Bureau Service Co., as manager-salesman of the LaMoille FS fertilizer plant and senior agronomy services assistant out of Princeton office. Overall Jim worked 34 1/2 years for Ag View FS. Sandy has been a secretary-bookkeeper at the LaMoille FS fertilizer plant for 17 years and at Helmig and Helmig Law Office in Granville for 17 years as a legal secretary. Jim retired from the U.S. Army Reserve with 35 years of service as a command sergeant major. Jim still works for Ag View FS part time in the Precision Department and Sandy is retired and is a full-time housewife.
