ROCK FALLS – Theodore J. Novak, 89, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at CGH Medical Center. He was employed by Thatcher Glass Co., Streator, before retiring.

Mr. Novak was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Chicago, the son of John and Mary (Kapanowski) Novak. He served in the Army as a military police officer during World War II. He married Hazel Darlene Bayles. She preceded him in death on July 27, 1994.

Survivors include his stepson, Delmar (Frances) McNinch of Rock Falls; one stepgrandson; two step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a stepgrandson.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.

Burial with military honors will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
