Polo homeowner battles back with a hose of her own during annual parade.

The William and Beverly Burkardt Family Foundation has awarded 116 scholarships since 2012.

The class will be held at Conover Square’s Eagle’s Nest Art Group Studio from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Concerts are held in the Reckmeyer Bandshell in downtown Mt. Morris on the College Campus.

Asked questions such as “What’s your favorite dinosaur” and “What’s the best thing about being a kid,” the 4- and 5-year-olds did their best to give insightful answers.

The Kable Concert Band will present two patriotic concerts – one Wednesday, July 2, on the Mt. Morris Campus and the other on Friday, July 4, behind the former David L. Rahn Junior High School, 105 W. Brayton Road, before the fireworks show.

The markets are held each Thursday night from 5-7:30 p.m. at 123 N. Second St., along the riverfront below the Oregon dam.

The light rain that fell briefly across the concert venue at Oregon Park West, 1402 Koontz Place, didn’t stop kids and their parents from moving to the tunes.

The 1960s tribute band SHiNDiG! performs at the Let Freedom Ring Block Party on July 4; Bagshot Row returns July 5 for the Let Freedom Ring Car Show.
