Rinus VeeKay edges Coyne Racing teammate Jacob Abel for final spot in Sunday’s Indianapolis 500 lineup

In last-chance qualifying for the Indianapolis 500, Rinus VeeKay was barely faster than rookie Jacob Abel, his teammate at Plainfield-based Dale Coyne Racing, and will start last in the field of 33 come Sunday.

Dwight softball starts quick, holds on to defeat WFC

The Dwight softball team scored two runs in the top of the first inning and held the lead throughout an 8-5 Tri-County Conference victory over Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell on Tuesday at Woodland High School in each sides regular-season finale.
