The Lincoln-Way East boys tennis team won all but one of its games at its own quadrangular on Saturday in Frankfort.
Lincoln-Way East defeated Eisenhower, 5-0, Minooka, 5-0, and Lemont, 4-0, to finish 3-0 on the day.
Manny Tsoukatos and Jack Forlenza went 3-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Griffins. John Kenny was a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles.
Will Pangallo, Matt Schilke, Grant Rafol, Tanner Leonard and Ryan Dell all contributed two victories for Lincoln-Way East, which improved to 7-0 on the season.
Lincoln-Way Central wins quadrangular: The Knights defeated Coal City, 5-0, Marian Catholic, 5-0, and Plainfield Central, 3-2, on their way to a triangular sweep.
Collin Bush, Dom Evans and Juney Bai won all three matches for Lincoln-Way Central.
BASEBALL
Bradley-Bourbonnais 16, Wilmington 8: The Wildcats and Boilermakers traded punches in the Rantoul Tournament final, but Bradley-Bourbonnais piled on runs late to secure the win.
Joliet West 13, Joliet Central 1: The Tigers jumped ahead with a seven-run first inning that carried them to a win in their WJOL Tournament consolation game.
Zackry Tarrant and Deon McNair each had two hits for Joliet West.
Peotone 11, Kankakee 11: The Blue Devils pushed across four runs in the seventh inning to earn a tie in their nonconference game.
Connor Janik led the Peotone offense with three hits.
GIRLS SOCCER
Sandburg 1, Lincoln-Way East 0: The Griffins offense was shut out against their SouthWest Suburban Conference foe.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Lockport claims second at Argo Invitational: The Porters (11-2) dropped their match against Lyons in the tournament final. They earlier had wins against Argo and Whitney Young.
Lockport’s Matthew Krzos led the attack with 15 kills in the championship match. Braeden Goebbert added nine kills.
Bolingbrook splits four matches at West Aurora Invitational: The Raiders earned wins over Wheeling and Oswego East, but dropped matches to Joliet West and Glenbard North.
Andy Stone led the Raiders (5-7) with 26 kills in the tournament. Connor Dmochowski had 73 assists.
BOYS WATER POLO
Lincoln-Way West takes second at Niles West Invitational: The Warriors went 2-2. finishing with a 13-1 win over Lockport and dropping a 11-4 decision to Niles West on the last day of the tournament.
GIRLS WATER POLO
Lyons 15, Lincoln-Way East 5: The Griffins lost in the championship of the Lyons Tournament.
