Letter: Immigrants can’t vote

Typewritter, letter to the editor

To the Editor:

In response to a rant by Mr. Ray Malmgren in which he claims the Democrats are opening the borders so we “have enough votes in the next election”:

First, I would like to point out that we already had enough votes in the last election to change the color of five states, giving us an overwhelming advantage in the electoral college that enabled us to oust the orange buffoon from our White House and take control of the Senate. Second, I would like to point out that, contrary to what you hear on Fox News, immigrants cannot vote in this country. To cast a vote, a person must be registered and to get registered, they must be a citizen who is at least 18 years old. These are facts.

Now if you are suggesting immigrants are voting, then I beg you, Mr. Malmgren, please prove it. Because if immigrants are voting, I want to know about it. Truth is, Immigrants cannot, and are not, voting. Period. That, too, is a fact. Immigrants are being allowed into our country because they are running from the danger or poverty or lack of opportunity in their own country. Our grace toward these people is called “compassion” – a notion Republicans clearly cannot comprehend.

Vote American, not Republican.
