Lincoln-Way Foundation to have virtual gala and auctions

The Lincoln-Way Foundation is going virtual this year with its end of the year gala and auction. The Lincoln-Way community is invited to celebrate their “love of Lincoln-Way.”

This year’s gala is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 20 and is an opportunity for people to support the district’s students.

The foundation’s purpose is to help raise funds for the different curriculums at Lincoln-Way, as well as provide scholarships for graduating seniors. Last year, the foundation provided $23,000 in scholarships.

Even though the foundation has had a tough year in holding all of its regular events, it still pulled off a successful golfball drop in December, and Executive Bob Kennedy is still hopeful that they can exceed last year’s $23,000 mark.

The auction will consist of different gift baskets donated by individuals and businesses in the community. Raffles and silent auctions open on Feb. 13. Tune in to the event on Feb. 20 to win prizes through the premier auction.

The event is free and registration is open now, and those who register before Feb. 18 will automatically be entered to win a $100 gift card. Registration is being conducted at https://lwef2021.givesmart.com. People can also view and bid on the silent and premier auctions, or donate directly to the foundation and the same website.

Donations are still accepted for those who cannot attend the event. To see what past donations have done for the district, visit https://youtu.be/3ZRN21oGV2w.
