COVID-19 positivity rate at Silver Cross near 6%

As of Tuesday morning, the COVID-19 positivity rate at Silver Cross Hospital dropped to 6.2%. Heading into Saturday, the positivity rate was at 7.5%, and before that it was in the 8%-9% range.

Silver Cross’ daily dashboard is updated weekday mornings. The total number of hospitalizations is at 51 with three people awaiting results. On Friday, the total number of hospitalizations dipped below 50.

There are currently eight patients in the intensive care unit, five on a ventilator and 1,742 who have been discharged from the hospital since March. The number of discharged patients shows that 35 patients have been discharged since Friday.

The hospital has tested 42,897 people since March, which shows that 667 have been tested since Friday. Of the 42,897 people tested, 2,944 have come back positive and 34 of those were since Friday.
