Lockport man jailed on child pornography charge

A Lockport man was arrested and jailed Wednesday on a child pornography charge after Illinois State Police investigators searched his Aston Way home.

Anthony Leonardi, 49, faces two counts of possession of child pornography.

State police investigators “initiated an investigation after receiving information Leonardi was allegedly engaged in possession of child pornography,” Trooper Omoayena V. Williams said in an email Thursday.

“A thorough investigation ensued, and a search warrant was executed on April 14, 2021, at Leonardi’s residence,” Williams said. “During the warrant execution, Investigators seized evidence supporting an arrest for child pornography.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Leonardi works as a “Senior Technician that is contracted to Cook County Department of Corrections and Adult Probation Services through All Points Security.”

“I currently handle house arrest returns from people who have been released off of electronic monitoring as well as managing the equipment,” Leonardi’s page said. “I also work hand in hand with Cook County Sheriffs and Adult Probation services with in field repairs and training. I enjoy helping our bravest workers do their jobs and be more efficient concerning electronic monitoring and in field work.”

A woman answering the phone at All Points Security said Leonardi no longer works there but she was unaware when he stopped doing so. She also said she did not know about the child pornography case.

Leonardi appeared in court Thursday afternoon and his bond was set at $150,000, records show.
