3 suspects robbed Cricket Wireless store in Joliet, police say

Police are searching for three men who robbed a Cricket Wireless store on Collins Street.

About 6:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the Cricket Wireless at 425 Collins St. for a report of a robbery, Joliet police said.

Officers arrived and determined three men entered the store and asked about purchasing phones, police said.

The female employee attempted to assist them at which time they announced a robbery, police said.

The trio forced the employee into the back room and eventually into a locked bathroom, police said.

The suspects stole phones and cash before fleeing out of the store, police said.

Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
