Joliet woman killed in single-vehicle crash on I-55

A 25-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 in Joliet.

About 3:50 a.m. Monday, a Chrysler 200 heading south on I-55 ran off the road at milepost 253, hit the ditch and flipped, according to the Illinois State Police.

Jamie Stark of Joliet, the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased on the scene by Will County Coroner’s Office.

The southbound lanes of I-55 near milepost 253 were closed for about an hour during the crash investigation.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
